Processed Foods

While everyone knows that processed foods are nasty, many of us were raised on them... spam, hot dogs, lunch meat, etc. and don't think much about it when rushed for time.  Now don't get me wrong, some foods are processed to protect us and are still healthy... milk for example!  I was grossed out by some of the articles I read about processed foods but one stood out and that was one in particular that talked about the relationship between processed foods and depression.  This writer suggests that if instead of prescribing drugs for depression that can be more dangerous than the depression itself, if the doctor prescribed a diet without highly processed foods, it would make them feel better naturally. I personally have cut out most processed food since the New Year.. yeah, even before reading this information, and you know.. I think I feel better for it!
