Eating Healthy on the Weekend
Weekends are when many people relax the good eating habits they had all week and indulge in extra snacks or more decadent meals. This is where the mindset comes in to play.... we worked our butts off all week to exercise and be careful about the eating choices we made.. what makes the weekend any different?
My life motto is everything in moderation and be careful about my eating choices. So if you are going to be out with friend want to have a little something extra on the weekend, that is fine but have just that a LITTLE something extra. Consider the fact that you are making a commitment to yourself to make better choices about what you eat and to make exercise part of your daily lifestyle.... yes, even on the weekends.. they are no different... you just do different things.
If you think all this is just temporary, consider this. A few months from now, you have lost all that weight and look fabulous... are you really going to stop working out or eating healthy? Of course not!
Once you have reached a fitness goal, it should be part of your lifestyle, so on weekends, start practicing that new lifestyle! It's all about choices. If you lost one pound this week.. don't use food as your reward.. have a great walk outside.. go to the mall and buy yourself something pretty or something that smells good! Visit your local market and check out all the wonderful choices for healthy foods for the week!
